Does the Holocaust Make It Impossible to Believe in God?

Summary: For some Jews, the Holocaust made it impossible to believe in a just God. Others maintained that God and his ways are unknowable. Buddhist philosophy also can be used to explain the Holocaust.
During World War II, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were in power. They persecuted lots of innocent men, women and children in an event called the Holocaust, or Shoah. Many people in the world suffered, but none more so than the Jews. In this essay I will be discussing whether or not the Shoah makes it impossible to believe in God.

In the story of Job, there is a man called Job who has is content and has everything he needs in life, and believes in God. Basically, God lets Satan test how much Job believes in God by doing lots of evil things to Job, such as giving him lots of sores and boils and killing his children.
