Filament Bulb Obey Ohms Law

Summary: A scientific experiment in which the author attempts to prove that a filament bulb obeys Ohm's Law.
My aim is to find out whether or not a filament bulb will obey Ohm's law; making it an ohmic conductor this is where the resistance is constant and the same.

Ohm's law is the relationship between the voltage, current and resistance (V=I x R) voltage = current x resistance.

Conductors or components that obey Ohm's law are called ohmic conductors and conductors that do not are called non-ohmic conductors. The current flowing in an ohmic conductor is proportional to the potential difference across it provided that its temperature remains constant.

The variables for this experiment are:

· the type of wire (material)

· length of wire

· diameter (thickness of the wire)

· current in the wire - dependant

· temperature of the material

· voltage - independent variable

· resistance - dependant

The independent variable in my experiment is the voltage. If I increase the voltage in a circuit the resistance and the...
