Summary: Hindus people believe that there are three possible paths to Nirvana. First is to fulfill their family and social obligations there by eliminating bad karma. Second is the way of knowledge, believing that if one recognizes that they are not an individual but part of Brahman. Finally is the way of devotion, where one completely surrenders him or herself to one god or goddess.
Hinduism is one of the oldest major religions to still be practiced today.

Hinduism has been dated back as far as 3000 BC, but is not known to have a founder or person that started the religion. About 70% of the Indian population practices Hinduism. Hinduism is also practiced in other countries all around the world making it the third largest religion. The Hindus population is up to about 13% of the world, or 837 million people

Hindus people worship many deities, or gods. There have been thought to be up to 1,000, however most of these were minor deities under the main deity Brahma, the grand spirit. Some of the known deities are Annapurna the goddess of food, Maya the goddess of illusion, and Ganesha the elephant headed lord of all existing beings.
