Japanese Rock Music

Summary: Japanese rock music has become quite popular during the past twenty years. After being affected by the British rock invasion and various artists such as Kiss, the Japanese have adapted a very distintive and personal style. Adapting the rock scene and merging it with their own past culture of things such as Kabuki dance and Geisha fashion, they created a subgenre of Indie rock known as Visual Kei, noted for its linking of visual style and fashion.
