'Cold Mountain' Is Like Homer's 'odyssey'. Which Events Are the Same as in 'cold Mountain'

Summary:   'Cold Mountain' is the story of two people that were drifted apart by war, and their both physical and mental journey's back to each other. Throughout the novel Inman meets many different and cultured people which is a parallel to the 'Odyssey' because Odysseus travels far away and similarily on his way home meets many of the Gods who help him on his way.


Plan

Based loosely on 'Odyssey' - tell the base of what the story is about and the basis of what cold mountain is about and 'Odyssey' is about (Inman making his way back to Ada, Odysseus returning to Penelope- everlasting love and marriage )
