Summary: In The Outsiders colors are shown many times in the characters and one example is Ponyboy. Black may be a color that can represent ponyboy because ponyboy is someone who is strong and powerful. Colors can be used for any emotion and even for no emotion which colors represent emotionless. In every person there is a color that represents that person either a bad or a good color.
Colors may represent the emotions someone is facing anytime. it may represent how someone is feeling. From light colors to darks, it shows the mood of a setting. From happiness to sadness, any color could show the mood and their feelings. In many texts colors can be used to show emotions, such as Romeo and Juliet or The Outsiders in which colors represent many things in the book.
