To What Extent Did the Supreme Court Influence Roosevelt's Policies.

Summary: Whilst Roosevelt was following his New Deal plan and setting up institutions that would help stabilize the economy and get rid of the depression, the Supreme Court was opposing these institutions. Hence, the Supreme Court greatly affected Roosevelt's policies.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt came to office on the fourth of March 1933. He is the thirty second president. He has come into office after Herbert Hoover. Herbert Hoover was not liked by people due to his policies. People, in the next election, then voted for Roosevelt. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, FDR, has promised the people to find solutions to the depression. FDR, during his first years in office, has followed a plan known as the New Deal. This plan's main objective is to end the great depression and help stabilize the government. The New Deal was to aid the unemployed and help them get jobs, fix bank accounts and banks themselves, to regulate the stock market, and to help businesses inside the United States in order to help with the economic recovery.
