Cupid and Psyche is unarguably one of the most famous of the Greek myths. Its simplicity and allure never ceases to fascinate readers. Even for the modern citizens of today, the values that this timeless story teaches can still be employed. The messages that it sends also reveals much about the nature of Greek civilization.

Cupid and Psyche is a story of love, truth and redemption. For the Greeks its purpose was to emphasize the importance of truthfulness and also to show that redemption can be obtained through hard work and humility. When Cupid fell in love with Psyche and took her to his palace, Psyche received all that she could.....
