Summary: A personal essay that attempts to define art and what an individual should look for when purchasing and critiquing art.
Art has progressed over time and we are constantly exploring new ways to express ourselves. Art is essentially an emotional release to the artist, and on the observers side a strong feeling of emotion and or/reaction. If the creator can get that reaction whether it is negative or positive you have still successfully created some form of art, it has been noticed. Technology has slowly weaved its way into art, whether it is computer-generated images, pyrotechnics at a rock show, or photography. The evolution and fearlessness of man have been pushing the limits and raising the bar, changing art's overall appearance and meaning.
