It all began when workers were being mistreated and having to work in such unruly working conditions of their everyday jobs. Strikes were held to wake up the society in what they should know about what is going on with their products that are being brought to them. Workers had to suffer from sickness, disease, and sometimes even death. Everyday workers also have to feed their families but due to the low pay on their paycheck, they were not able to have food on the table for their families. Unions started to up rise in the industries to help the unfairly treated workers. The American Federation of Labor was one of the first unions to help the workers. The American Federation of Labor is basically a union which helps workers fight for better pay, equality in race, and better working conditions. The...
