Columbian Political Issues

Summary:   Colombia has been widely recognized worldwide as a country that suffers from two major plights: drug trafficking and political violence. As the political situation becomes increasingly unstable, and with the government lacking the necessary resources to address it, the citizens in Colombia must turn to one another in order to lead a cause that will end the political bloodshed and bring this country into an ordered society with a democratic government.


POLITICAL ISSUE

Of the many problems that continue to plague the country of Colombia, one of the greatest issues concerning this country lies within its conflict-ridden political forum. Colombia has been widely recognized as a country throughout the world that suffers from two major plights: drug trafficking and political violence. The world has watched while Colombia has struggled through a 40-year insurgent campaign to overthrow the Colombian government; the height of which occurring throughout the 1990's. As the political situation becomes increasingly unstable, the citizens of the countries must turn to one another in order to lead a cause that will bring this country into an ordered society with a democratic government.

It is atrocious to witness the state of affairs currently within the country. Many innocent citizens have been cruelly victimized through heinous acts perpetrated by guerilla.....
