To Love or Not to Love?

Summary: Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" presents many instances of love overcoming hate. The actions of Romeo meeting Juliet, their marriage, and their sacrifice of their own lives for each other shows the triumph of love over hate after a long struggle.
To Love or Not To Love?

When one thinks of love and hate, the thought of a friendship or even a quarrel in a friendship may come to mind. However this is not the case in Romeo and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet love withstands hate. When Romeo first meets Juliet he speaks of love as Tybalt speaks of nothing but hate. Romeo and Juliet get married knowing how their parents will react to this. At the end when Romeo and Juliet die in the Capulet tomb, the Montagues and the Capulets make a vow to forget about what happened years ago. In Romeo and Juliet love prevails against hate in a struggling battle.
