Equality for Men and Women

Summary:   A consideration of the degree to which men and women are treated equally in today's society.

Are men and women treated equal or is it just a myth. We know that men and women should be treated equal, but are they? We also know that men and women can do all the same jobs as long as they are trade the same for that particular work. Does the world think that men should do the harder tasks and women should do the easier tasks? As the world has changed and gotten older, people are the changing their ideas of women and men jobs, as they are letting women do some harder tasks. One of the main questions still today talked about is "Are women able to do the same job as men?" and "Are men able to do the same job as women?"

Men and women can do all the household jobs. The household jobs should be divided between the man and woman in the household if they both are working. Men or women can stay at home with their children, while their partner goes to work. But men in most cases are being bugged and teased by other man if they stay home so by that the men do not want to stay home. Men can cook, clean just like woman and be caring and loving care givers to the family and some cases man can do all this much better than some women.

If the man and woman in the household are planning to go and they can not get a babysitter for the children. The man would expect the women to stay home. If that happens they both should stay and home or if they agree one goes out and other stays home and if the again to do the options.

Men and women can do all the same work. Both men and women can be policeman, firefighter, and carpenter and all other jobs like that. Still in some cases women get trades to do a job, but never get hire because they are women.

If a woman is hired to do the same job as a man, should they be paid equal for the job that is completed the same or should one be paid better than the other. But in most cases man will get pay more. If there was one job, the man would get picked over the woman.

As we still see many men think that a women place is in the home once they are married. Some men think that they should work until children come along and still others think that women should be able to work both outside the home and take care of the children and the household.

As a woman of this century, I feel that a woman can do anything she puts her mind and body to accomplish. As for the household jobs, who likes to do them so they should be shared by all who lives in the home both man, woman, and children.

The equality question, of men and women will never be answered to make everyone happy.
