Comparing Elizabethan Theaters to Modern-Day Theatres

Summary:   A comparison of how Elizabethan theaters operated as compared to modern-day theaters. The introduction of technology and who was allowed to act are two of the biggest changes.


Our theatres and plays today differ from the ones in the olden days, yet both share the wonderful magic of acting. As time goes by, more things start to develop and many technologies come through the way leaving great footsteps of action.

Many people go to theatres to entertain themselves. Each actor and individual plays his or her own role with profession and excitement. This is why most theatres with highly skilled actors attract the viewers. Anyhow, actors today differ from the ones back in the olden days. In nowadays theatres, actors have the privilege to act at the age of a newborn! As long as you have the talent of acting, you can do it! On the other hand, in olden day theatres, like the Elizabethan theatre, actors can only start acting at the age.....
