The Theme of Freedom in "The Matrix"

Summary: Free will choices made by characters in the film "The Matrix." Morpheus represents fate, Neo represents freedom, and Cypher represents selfishness.
In the film "The Matrix," I'm going to talk to you about Freedom in relation to the matrix, the complexities that this film portrays and the relationships between the three main characters - Morpheus, Cypher and Neo. Lets look at the word freedom, my dictionary explains it as "a state in which somebody is able to act and live as he or she chooses, without being subject to any, or to any undue, restraints and restrictions." This is a basic definition, but freedom is far more complex and hard to understand. Freedom is different for everyone but also relative. Ok now lets look at the opposite to freedom - Fate, meaning "the predetermined and inevitable series of events that happen to somebody or something." Fate is still just a theory, nobody can actually say if it exists or not.
