There are a number of characters that correspond with each other in both the texts, these being, Emma and Cher, Mr. Woodhouse (Emma's father) and Cher's Father, Mr. Knightly and Josh, Mr. Elton and Elton, Harriet and Tai, Mr. Martin and Travis as well as Frank Churchill and Christian.
