Summary: The Congress of Vienna was very important to creating the peace and stability that it did for one-hundred years and stopping Napoleon from taking over the world. The Congress was key in keeping Europe somewhat independent.
The Congress of Vienna did provide peace and stability; it created peace for one-hundred years, stopped Napoleon, and during the one-hundred years there was complete stability. The congress of Vienna took place for ten months from September 1814 to June 1815. It was a gathering of all the leaders of European countries. The Congress was arragned by Emperor Francis I of Austria. The main intention of the Congress was to promote Peace and Stability, and to turn the clocks back to 1792. Peace, which is the balance of power, was controlled by nations not having too much power. Stability is when there are no revolutions inside the nations. Because of this the Congress of Vienna created a great deal of peace and stability, mainly because it lasted one-hundred years.
