Why Did Britain Go through the Industrial Revolution When It Did?

The Industrial Revolution was the result of dramatic social and economic changes. These changes caused Britain to become a modern industrial society instead of an agricultural and commercial society. The revolution depended on inventions and innovations, which were being produced rapidly in that period. The Industrial Revolution began in Britain in the 18th century and is still continuing in some countries today.
One of the reasons the Industrial Revolution happened when it did was that the government was predictable and stable. This meant that monarchs were not likely to seize earnings or impose taxes like other countries did. British businessmen could earn money more easily than people in Europe and took more risks. Their money was safer than European businessmen's and they made more investments in new business ventures. This caused economic growth in Britain.
