There are many prime examples of for knowledge that many in our society abide by to help them reach a higher level of prosperity in life or discover new ideas about themslves that they never knew about. Through the ideas of freedom and education one can lead themselves on a path of self discovery .According to W.E.B. DuBois' The Souls of Black Folk and other Enlightenment thinkers such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Thomas Paine, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson this idea helps society overcome the barriers needed to prosper.
