Entertainment brainwashes our youth into believing in an imaginary world, and it prevents them from obtaining the knowledge of their predecessors. And entertainment is ruining our quality of life, leaving our mental capacities wide open to useless, garbage material.
Entertainment, "its fun" some would say, "its leisure," others would argue, but this idea of 'fun' and 'leisure' is only camouflaging the ruin it will eventually lead our society into. Entertainment is an effortless entity that invades our houses and walks our streets. Society enjoys it, but what they don't realize is its power hungry struggle over our minds, determined to steal our world.
The movies, television, worlds into which e escape, leaving our own lives in the past. Go to a movie theater and watch peoples faces, they are enthralled with the story they are being led through. Movies offer a world, an escape from reality. Television offers people from kids to adults, a false world in which some like to emulate. For example Harry Potter. When this multi-million dollar idea of a 'wizarding world' was brought to the minds of countless youngsters there were surprising consequences. Children dressing like wizards, beliving in 'magic', trying to emulate these CHARACTERS. Entertainment pulls the reality away, instead leaving us with a fantasy world into which we delve. This idea of taking us from our lives in un-nerving. This makes children not think about their future but about a Fantasy. Such shows as "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" or "Charmed" yet again pull people into a world that does not exist. This 'harmless' entertainment puts us into our seats every Tuesday and Thursday detracting from our own lives. Entertainment is literally brain washing our youth in beliving in an imaginary world.
The entertainment business has become a realm of disgusting antics that are publicly displayed to our society, degrading humans' evolution. For example Janet Jackson's superbowl 'incident', in which Justin Timberlake exposed the breast of Janet on national television. This crude display of 'entertainment' shows that the morals being divulged to society are corrupted. Exposing kids to nudity of the female body, like that, shows that this business is ruthless, anything for publicity. Shows such as "Pranked" and "Fear-Factor" demean people of society. Tricks and 'pranks' are played on innocent victims for the publics viewing pleasure. "Fear-Factor", displays people doing usually disgusting 'feats' for money. This is demeaning our society; this is just tapping into our barbaric ancestry. We are supposed to be higher beings yet our minds are being eroded by shows that don't mentally challenge us but intellectually stunt us. 'Entertainment' is ruining our quality of life, our mental capacities are just being left wide open, letting garbage of useless material take its place.
We enjoy the occasional escape from reality; but more and more entertainment is shoving its way into our world. Its everywhere we look, we are forced to deviate from the path it leads us down. Entertainment is stopping our youth form obtaining the knowledge of their predecessors. Unless this is topped, society will corrode into a mass of zombie-like characters; pledging our allegiance to our furor, Entertainment.
