Movement of Snakes

Summary: The snake is graceful, long and slender. Everything from the way it moves to the way it sounds is a grace that captivates many people. To some the abnormal fact of it having no legs is enough to scare people away on first impression.
Movement

At first this creature is stationary, simply as motionless as a statue. Just as a statue it appears to be lifeless. Once you believe no life is possible the creature ejects its tongue out into the cold world, smelling breathing the aromas of the earth beneath itself. This creature is fiercely independent and possesses a shallow grace. It has no legs but has several highly efficient methods to move around in this world. This creature is a snake.

As the tongue tastes the cold air, its head moves from side to side, almost testing its ground. The creature rests still for a moment then in a sudden pulse it strikes at the air.
