Economic empowerment can be simplified as attaining the ability to fully participate in the policy and process for obtaining wealth in providing for one's self, as well as, one's community. Over the past few years I have learned that the road to economic empowerment, which leads to social and political change, is found in understanding how to invest. Some types of investment include personal, corporate, and community investments. If economic empowerment is concentrated on now what is remaining of the present generation and what is to come of the future generations will begin to see more positive social and political changes. The start of this type of empowerment requires an understanding of investing. Investing can be in many forms including time, money, or goods and services.
