Since the end of World War II, many important cultural, social, and political events have taken place. From the "baby boom" and the happy life of the '50s to the grim and anxious years of the Cold War with the Soviet Union, the United States has been involved in its share of good times and bad times. The most important of these changes, however, were the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, and the United States' war against terrorism. These events have drastically changed the face of America, for better or worse, and furthermore, has affected the world and the future.
