Summary:   In her influential work of feminism, "The Story of An Hour," Kate Chopin reflects the gloomy marital status of the women in the early 1900s through the life of the protagonist, Mrs. Mallard. Because of her master/slave relationship with her husband, Mrs. Mallard only feels freedom when he dies.
