1)Select, describe and explain the important ways in which an Orthodox Jewish family observes Shabbat.

Introduction

Shabbat is the main religious festival for the Jews, which begins on a Friday sunset and lasts until Saturday night when the stars appear. Jews usually call it Shabbat or Shabbos. Shabbat is the weekly day of rest for every Jew and is a day which is very special and completely different from any other day. It is a very holy day for the Jews. Shabbat is a day for having special meals to be cooked, for families to get together around the table, to put on special clothes and most important of all to have a break from work this is so they can devote themselves to prayer and torah study. Whilst preparing for the oncoming day Shabbat everyone in.....
