George Washington was born in the year 1732 in the state of Virginia. His father passed away when he was eleven years old. His half brother, Lawrence, was in the navy and George Washington wanted to follow in his footsteps, but his mother would not let him.

In 1753, George Washington finally started a military career in the Army. George Washington and his men fought many battles, losing some of them. In 1781 he had his victory by winning the Battle of Yorktown.

George Washington was married to a widow named Martha. They had no children together, but George raised Martha's children as his own.
