Summary:   An analysis of an advertisement for Kellogg's Body Smart Wheat Bran Flakes exemplifies the techniques that can be used to grab one's attention and encourage him or her to purchase the product. The use of color in the advertisement, the name of the product, the picture of the cereal bowl, the text with more details about the product, and the challenge to try the product for a trial period all contribute to the effectiveness of the advertisement.


Print advertising is one of the best ways to promote a company's product. The advert by "Kellogg's" for "Body Smart Wheat Bran Flakes," uses advertising techniques that grab your attention and encourages you to buy the product. This is mainly appealing to the target audience of caring mothers who want the best and healthiest diet for their family; however the advert will appeal to everyone. The purpose of this advert is to prove to the buyer that this product is the ideal thing for any person, and it offers a challenge to the audience by saying "Try it for two weeks and see if you glow from the inside out." And this is placed in a glowing beam of light coming out of the box. But first the advertisement has to grab the buyer's.....
