Summary:  

The small Pacific island of New Zealand offers many characteristics. Its physical characteristics include glaciers, mountains, t plains, hillsides, tropical forests, and volcanic plateaus, and sandy beaches. Its human characteristics include the native people of the region and the array of boating and coastline activity.

New Zealand is a fascinating place. It is filled with mysteries that are just waiting to be revealed. New Zealand being a small island in the middle of the pacific ocean makes the thought of this far away island very interesting. New Zealand is a very beautiful place filed with wondrous characteristics. I would like to share to you those characteristics of the magical island, New Zealand.

New Zealand has many spectacular physical characteristics. First of New Zealand is filled with amazing glaciers, incredible fiords, rugged mountains, vast plains, rolling hillsides, tropical forests, volcanic plateaus, and miles of coastline with sandy beaches. New Zealand is also filled with thriving animal and plant life. Since the climate in New Zealand is hot the beaches are a number one spot for tourists to visit as well.

What is very interesting is that the volcanic plateaus on this island can still create volcanic activity! Although the natural features of this island are fascinating the human characteristics are just as fascinating.

New Zealand is know well fro some of its human characteristics. Tourists love hot spots like New Zealand. So there are a lot of hotels and resorts by the beaches and the coast line of the island. Also people that visit New Zealand love to view the native people of this region. The tourists love to watch the natives do ceremonial dances and celebrations in the age old towns and villages that the natives live in. Also,since New Zealand is surrounded by water, there are many harbors which boats use to travel and depart to and from the island.

As you can see New Zealand is filled with many characteristics. These characteristics will not only help you to understand about the island, but it will also help you to realize what this tiny island is like. This island has many tourists, yet the island is not existing on the sole purpose of tourism. Some day I too wish to visit this amazing island. As you can see New Zealand is filled with many intriguing features, but there are still some that are waiting to be discovered!
