To Kill A Mocking Bird

Harper Lee uses a complex narrative structure, using such Point of view, setting, characters, and a wide range of events that she uses to position the reader in to understanding the novel, 'How To Kill A Mocking Bird'. This story of southern drama, set in Alabama, shows the happenings in a small town in the 1950's. Being that this story is based on a child named Jean Louise Finch (or better known as Scout) and her family, Miss Lee shows the story through the innocence of a young girls eyes. Her household consisted of Atticus Finch, her father, Jeremy (otherwise known as Jem) Finch, her older brother, and Calpurnia, the Negro cook who takes care of raising Jem and Scout.
