Summary:   A personal opinion on the rise of lawsuits in this country and the silly things people are suing over.


What should one be held accountable for? Often times' people consider any mishap or accident an offense that may be cashed in on. The variety of cases is overwhelming and includes such extremes as the McDonald's lawsuits over obesity to an Egyptian lawyer trying to sue the Jews for "plundering gold during the time of the Exodus from Pharaonic Egypt thousands of years ago, based on information from the Bible (Bruce). The line that divides ridiculous and legitimate lawsuits seems to shrink smaller and smaller as time moves on.

For the first example of the abuse of the legal system are the infamous McDonald's lawsuits. Several individuals have come forth to sue the fast food giant in hopes that their expanding waist lines will have their wallet doing the same. All types of people have tried to.....
