The Grapes of Wrath

The story Grapes of Wrath is a piece of literature written and documented by John Steinbeck. This documentary was based on the migrants that came to California after the Dust Bowl. In 1932 "The Dust Bowl" affected farm workers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. The historical scenarios taking place influenced Steinbeck to bring the characters experience to life. In The Grapes of Wrath Steinbeck interprets the mentality, struggle, and determination of the migrant farm workers. Struggle and determination led these people to move from their homes to very far places. Most migrants didn't even know how or what to expect after arriving at California. All this was worth it to them; obviously they had nothing to lose because back home there were no jobs.
