Harmful Effects of Alcohol and Binge Drinking

Summary: Drinking alcoholic beverages is widely popular in Australia, but they are dangers to excessive and binge drinking. These include illness, drunken driving, physical and sexual assaults and alcoholism.
Alcohol is the most widely and popular used recreation drug in Australia. Because of its popularity and wide use, society often overlooks the harm it does and the risks that are associated with consuming it, therefore it is not considered a "drug." Should be worried, in my opinion I think we should. Today's generation of teenagers, which includes every one of us in this classroom, are statistically more likely to drink more amounts of alcohol than any other generation before us. And were starting even earlier than any other generation before us, the myths that surround consuming alcohol are imprinted on our minds for the rest of our lives, leaving us open to peer pressure.
