Theories about the Lost Continent of Alantis

Summary:   The lost continent of Atlantis remains a puzzling mystery; some wonder if it even existed. Most experts feel that Atlantis sunk into the ocean about 11,600 years ago and many believe an advanced civilization was established there.


Atlantis is one of the many unknown mysteries of the world. There have been many myths of Atlantis but the truth is still unknown. Many people have many theories of Atlantis; the most famous of which is by Plato. He wrote many reasons of why the continent is now under the Ocean and if it had ever existed.

Atlantis is a continent that sunk in the Atlantic Ocean almost 11,600 years ago. After the continent sunk only peaks of mountains remained above water, forming what we know as those of Indonesia. Atlantis was a continent with high technology and advanced civilization. The people were educated well and much technology advancement.

Theories state that the continent was destroyed by natural causes such as Earthquakes, volcanoes, major floods, and tsunamis. This caused Atlantis to become a very unstable.....
