Machiavelli

Summary:   Machiavelli's theories in his book The Prince emphasize the need for a king to remain in political control of his people. The cruel methods suggested in these theories are so extreme that eventually they would backfire, leading to rebellion among the people and possibly to the death of the leader. Machiavelli's theories would not work in today's political world.


Machiavelli's Book "The Prince" talks about how a king should treat his people and his enemies as well. Machiavelli's theories were very harsh and could not be taken for granted. He obviously thought treating people badly would get them to obey you which in my opinion is insane because if you are harsh with someone then they will hate you and eventually rebel against you and become your enemy. Machiavelli also thought that the leader should be in control of everything he governs and the people don't get a say in what he does. Machiavelli's theories would not work in the present day because the people these days need to have the freedom of choice and need to feel secure in the country they live in, and Machiavelli would not provide neither objective for the people......
