Summary: A book review of "A Secret between Friends," a novel about teens and their struggle with being overweight and then with bulimia.
In the story "A Secret between Friends" a young girl's parents get divorced and they are forced to move to Seattle. When in Seattle Lexi thinks she is fat and her mother tells her that she has gained some weight but that it would come off when she started to play volleyball. In Seattle the young girl (Lexi) makes a new friend named Jennifer. Jennifer is bulimic and through the girl's friendship Jennifer teaches Lexi how to be bulimic. In the end a tragic accident happens and one of the girls is faced with recovering from the problem on her own.

Lexi and Jennifer become friends through volleyball and soon realize they both have a lot in common. Lexi quickly realizes that Jennifer is bulimic and because she feels she is fat, what her mother said, and the coach telling her to loose a few pounds that she...
