Summary: A comparitive view of Psychological Manipulation in Fahrenheit 9/11, Fahrenhype 9/11 and George Orwell's 1984

Americans are sitting at a neutral state being swung back and forth on what and who to believe. Just like the novel 1984 by George Orwell, American citizens are psychologically manipulated to believe what the government and media declares. The act of doublethink is common in the United States and many young adults are torn to believe contradictory statements about the Bush Administration and the war on terror. "Documentaries" on radical views are evidence of the psychological manipulation in the media that Americans are exposed to. Like George Orwell's 1984, psychological manipulation occurs in the media and is depicted in both Fahrenheit 9/11 and Fahrenhype 911. These two movies are perfect examples of the psychological manipulation of the American mind from the media and can drastically change one's view of the Bush administration and the government.
