Alcohol is becoming a very large problem with teens today. Although studies show that the numbers are somewhat declining, binge drinking is still very dangerous. Binge drinking is drinking alcohol to become drunk.

Binge drinking is very different alcoholism. Alcoholism is a progressive addiction to alcohol while binge drinking can happen very quickly. Binge drinking is defined as having five or more drinks in a row for men and four or more drinks in a row for women. Depending on whether you're a female or male, you can get drunk with less or more beers. Females have an ability to metabolize alcohol at the gut level so if you have a male and a female with the same weight and they drink the same number of beers, the female will become more drunk.
