Friar Lawrence's Role in the Tragedy

The role of an advisor and a comforter is a very crucial function in the lives of young people. The very confusing and love-filled lives of adolescents are in need of a good counselor. The role of an absolutely dedicated counselor is to be there for the people that he is committed to helping. That person must be able to come up with solutions, however if those solutions turn rotten, he must not be held responsible. As in the case of Friar Lawrence, he had good intentions for both of his advisees. He continuously offered solutions for all of their problems that came about throughout the entire fiasco. When his original plan failed, he would always come up with a secondary solution for the situation, even at the end of the tragedy when he knew that everything was going wrong. For example...
