Summary: Increasingly, more athletes are being charged and convicted of crimes and violence is sometimes seen in the playing arena. Sports violence like this has a poor influence on children.
The actions of some pro athletes are having a negative affect on children. You could make an all-star team with athletes who have committed violent crimes. People like Mike Tyson, Lawrence Phillips, Christian Peter, Anthony Peeler, Sean Burke, and Will Codero are just a few names on the list (Plenty 1). There are many factors as to why athletes have such a negative influence. One of those reasons is the way these people were brought up. It seems the desire for respect has skipped a generation. Athletes have turned the idea of sportsmanship upside down. Players like Michael Jordan were taught in college how to be part of a team.
