Summary:
Questions the existence of fate. Ponders how fate can determine an individual's path in life. Compares fate and the concept of free will.
To me fate is what people make it. Fate definitely exists. But, it is up to the person and what that person does do. Like they say, what goes around comes around. The energy he or she puts out will probably be the same energy they get back.
What one does can affect their fate and determine their path. The positive thing one does in life can reflect on them and give them a good reputation with other people. They will look up to them as a good human being. That can come to help them when they need something, because one may never know whom one might impress and it brings good karma. The negative things a person does can also affect them the same way. People will look down on them. Their reputation will be negative. Doing negative things can only take one backwards, hence the name negative meaning minus. What people do to others can also determine their fate. If one is helping people out then he or she will be blessed their self. The very people they help could very well make it big and remember them. I believe that if one harms people that harm could come right back to them. The saying goes, "live by the sword die by the sword." If a person is out here killing and robbing people for no reason the same is bound to happen to them.
Who people associate themselves with can also shape their fate. If he or she associates himself or herself with positivity, then they will see a lot of positive things. If one associates their self with negativity then they'll see a lot of negativity and bad things. Being apart of gangs will bring that type of attention to that person. Rival gangs will target them because they are apart of the other gang and they don't have to do anything to them. Choosing ones friend will mold ones fate to. If one is with friends that are causing trouble, then that trouble can find its way to him or her too. Surrounding oneself with people that are at least trying to do the right thing will lift the burden of having a bad fate.
What one works for helps out his or her fate too. If he or she is being lazy and won't work for anything, then nothing will come to them. Striving for goals will help keep ones head on straight and keep one focused. It will set one on a path to a prosperous fate. Being proactive is, to me, a big part of creating ones fate. You have to get up and go get. Nothing will just come to anyone. They have to want it.
My Conclusion is what one does; whom one hangs out with, and what one works for all determine his or her fate. Oneself shape your fate not luck. To me, the paths one choose seal their fate.
