Knock! Knock! Was the sound as it echoes throughout the hallways. This is how the Hobbit came about. The Hobbit is an epic of heroes, some of the heroes were unexpected and others were expected. All the members of the throng are necessary for the journey. Bilbo was an unexpected hero, by everyone including himself. Bilbo never thought that he would be a hero. The only thing that Bilbo had on his side was that he was from Tookish ancestry. The Took side of him longed for an adventure, but the Baggins side of him would not let the Tookish side show through. Till one day when Gandolf the wizard shows up. Gandolf was in need of a hired thief and he knew that Bilbo would come along for the journey.
