Summary: Families today appear to spend too much time watching TV; it is easier to turn on the TV than it is to think of something to do. But it is important to do things as a family; having special family nights can be a fun way to bring family members closer together.
Quality Time

It seems like now day's families spend too much time watching TV. Do they really count that as spending quality time with each other? I believe some do. It is easer and cheaper now days to stay at home. Since the TV is there we automatically turn it on. TV has so much more to offer today, that people find it easier to just push a button and sit back. They don't give it much thought. Besides it's a whole lot easier that trying to come up with something to do. I believe boredom is also a deciding factor in watching TV.
