Summary: Gatsby and Nick Carraway have very few similarities they are pretty much opposite. Gatsby is flashy and extravagant as Nick is quiet and down to earth.
Gatsby and Nick Carraway have very few similarities they are pretty much opposite. Gatsby is flashy and extravagant as Nick is quiet and down to earth. One thing they do have in common is they can pretty much turn their dreams into reality and being more realistic. Nick is Gatsby's neighbor and Daisy's cousin. Nick sees the enormous love Gatsby has for Daisy and like's to observe it. People can trust Nick because he is a good listener. Gatsby and Nick have a pretty good relationship.

Gatsby likes to flaunt his things because he wants to impress everyone. He feels if he can impress everyone else he will impress Daisy. He drives nice cars and wears fancy suits. He is very gaudy. While Nick lives next door his things are a little less extravagant. He does not feel the need to show everyone all the money he has...
