Gentlemen of the jury, I urge you to consider the facts that have been presented to you today. The facts clearly show that both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are guilty for treason and murder of King Duncan.

The defense counsel has argued that the defendants were in an unstable mental state and that they were not aware of what was happening. However, this is not the case. As you all heard earlier, stated by the Doctor, even mentally insane people are aware of their surroundings.

The first piece of evidence presented to you was a letter. The letter was found in Lady Macbeth's chamber and was written by Macbeth. The letter stated ."..These weird sisters saluted me, and referred to me to the coming on of time, with `Hail, king that shalt be!' This have I thought good to deliver to thee, my dearest partner of greatness...
