Dear Sir,
In today's society of second generation Asians of the U.S., the question has arisen whether the generation still retains many of the Asian traditions that the previous generations once had. Today's society now questions the ethnic authenticity of these second generation Asians, claiming that since these Asians are of a generation that was born in America, they have been "white-washed" and no longer retain Asian traditions and values. Many critics claim that these Asians no longer continue to act "Asian" and are an embarrassment to their ethnicity; I, however, would like to defend these "white-washed" Asians on their behalf.
Although it is indubitable that since this generation of Asians was born as American citizens they are more "American" than their ancestors, I cannot be fully convinced that they are "white-washed" through an involuntary decision. If.....
