Basics of World Geography

Summary:   Definitions of geography and the Earth's geographic components.


The basic definition of geography is the study of the earth and everything living on it. Geography also consists of the environment of the earth's surface and the relationship of humans to this environment, or in other words physical and human geography. Physical geography is a branch of geography that studies the natural features of the Earth's surface such as natural disasters, atmosphere, landforms plant and animal life and so on. On the other hand is human geography which deals with how humans adapt themselves to the land and to other people that effect or relates to the earth, example natural resources, manufacturing industries, political etcetera.
