Summary: Debates the controversial topic of abortion. Describes the medical procedure and examines different ethical points of view.
Abortion is the spontaneous and untimely ending of a pregnancy, whether it be on demand or therapeutic. The mother of an unborn child is given the choice to terminate her pregnancy and end the life of a potential human being to help out her own life. Even if an unborn foetus in a certain stage of pregnancy is not yet considered to be human, it has the potential to become one. It is thus up to society to determine whether the value of life in general (of the foetus) is more or less important than the quality of life of a given human being (the mother).

Many people would say that all humans have the right to life. To evaluate whether a foetus has the right to life, we must first as a society, determine whether the unborn child is a human being and at what stage...
