The Bourne Supremacy Book Review

By Tyler Deel

Did you like The Bourne Identity? Well, Robert Ludlum is back with The

Bourne Supremacy!

Robert Ludlum was born on May 25, 1927 in New York City and died on March 18, 2001 in Naples, Florida. He died after having a heart attack and was 74 years old. Robert started out as an actor, but switched to writing at the age of 42 years old. He wrote at least 21 books which have been translated into 32 languages. His books have sold over 290 million copies. Robert wrote suspense novels about spies and conspiracies.

The Bourne Supremacy in now a major motion picture from Universal Pictures. This book is mostly about Jason Bourne taking back his life as

David Webb. The story takes place mostly in Kowloon, China. It happens around present time and is full of action and adventure. The main characters in this story are: Jason Bourne aka. David Webb, Marie Webb, Alex Conklin, the French man, Hallivand, McAllister, Reilly, Catherine Staples, Morris Panov and Carlos the "Jackal."

What begins the story? Jason/David's wife, Marie St. Jacques Webb is kidnapped. David goes in pursuit after her. He suspects that a rich taipan (banker) is the person behind her kidnapping, but finds out he's wrong. David goes in search of the man impersonating him, known as Carlos the "Jackal." "Jackal" has tried to kill David/Jason before. If Carlos the "Jackal" doesn't give Jason Bourne the information about where his wife is, he will surely meet his end.

I liked this book because it had a lot of action scenes. My favorite action scene was when David/Jason jumped in a taxi, and passed the bus that "Jackal" was on. The ride was fast and furious. There was a great need for speed. The thing I didn't like about the book was that there was so many swear words. The Bourne Supremacy is just as good as The Bourne Identity and I can't wait to read the final book of the series, The Bourne Ultimatum.

I liked The Bourne Supremacy, because it left me hanging and wanting to read the next book in the series. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes action and suspense, has ever read any other books by Robert Ludlum, and has read The Bourne Identity.
