Summary:   Discusses three of the major impacts humans have had on ecology, water contamination, air pollution, and defortestation. Explores the global effects of each.


Since humans first lived on Earth they have made many impacts on the world as we know it, some good and some bad. But in more recent times it seems as if most of the impacts are negative ones, causing harm to the earth and its inhabitants. Even though some steps are being taken to try and stop these situations, most will never be able to be completely reversed. Three major impacts that humans have had on the environment are water contamination, air pollution, and deforestation.

Water contamination is the entrance of alien substances into a water supply, which can reduce the usability of the water for regular purposes or impose a health hazard. Humans contribute to this problem by using fertilizers and pesticides in their yards, gardens, farms, and other areas. The fertilizers and pesticides can.....
