Summary: Compares the literary and film versions of Friday Night Lights. Describes differences in each depiction of the story.
Is the Astro-Dome where the Permian Panthers really played their semi-final game versus Dallas Carter? The answer is no. That is only one difference out of many. The book and movie had more differences than things in common. The characters, setting, and events and conflicts can prove that. There are even clumps of chapters the movie left out that would have made the movie greater.

One major category of change from the book to the movie was the characters. All the characters except for some had different numbers. For example, Boobie Miles' real number was 35, but in the movie, it was 45. Brian Chavez's number in the movie was 4, but in the book it was 85. One more example is Ivory Christian.
